The 427th Unmanned Systems Regiment of Ukraine, known as “Rarog,” destroyed a Russian heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A “Solntsepyok” through a coordinated attack with drones.

The action was recorded on video and released by the unit itself. In the footage, the Russian vehicle is seen positioning to fire and then attempts to retreat, at which point it is hit by two drones: an FPV drone that damages the launch rails, and a bomber drone that drops explosives from above.

The combined attack was enough to set the vehicle on fire and render it unusable. This weapon model is frequently used by Russian forces to destroy lightly armored targets, fortified positions, and enemy troops. Its destructive power comes from 220mm thermobaric rockets, each approximately 3.7 meters long and weighing 217 kg.

According to an independent study by the ORYX project, since the start of the large-scale invasion, Ukraine has destroyed, damaged, or captured 33 TOS-1A systems. Of these, 24 were destroyed, six damaged, and three seized by Ukrainian forces.
